Ashing service in the Lady Chapel

Sung Holy Eucharist with Ashing in Church Ash Wednesday marks the first day of Lent and falls 40 days before Easter. Lent is a time of preparation before Easter.

With the blessing of the new fire, lighting of the Easter Candle, baptism, and the first Eucharist of Easter followed by breakfast

St. George’s will be hosting the spring Confirmation Service for anyone worshipping in the Croydon Addington Deanery. Bishop Rosemarie Mallett will be presiding as people confirm for themselves the promises made on their behalf at their baptism.

This is once again a ‘Big Lunch Day’ so we are holding our own Coronation Bring & Share Lunch with a theme of representing the many different peoples and cultures associated with the UK and the countries it’s linked with. All are welcome.
